Please use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

@Dobbie

Thanks for the conky, mate smile  The corners looked a bit ugly against the compton shadow, so I added a semi-trans image as a bg to disguise it. Here's my first effort at modification...

Excellent as always smile

How you change the icons in Docky? You use Docky,  right?

By the way, can you share this icon set?

If you want to you can remove the shadow from your conky by using this in your conkyrc

#own_window_argb_visual yes
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_type desktop

Yeah, I tried that, but I was still getting the corner edges showing against the compton shadow. Looks ok for now - may be I'll explore the settings a bit more in the future. In the meantime there is yet another coding language to get my head around ie lua big_smile

My desktop

Still a work in progress. Not sure how you folks get images in Conky to display certain things. Would like to get it to display local weather as well.

Rocking dual monitors, would be nice to have the time and taskbar icons only on one screen. Right now the time is on both screens, with the icons only on the left screen.

Thanks. Or rather, I should be thanking the community as I yanked the tint2rc and conky configs from two of which was posted on here already. All I've really done is update the menu (not shown) to have what I need in it and nothing I don't and change the wallpaper tongue

Local weather isn't a problem, check my signature for a few options and pop into the conky threads ... we'll have your desktop lying like the best weatherman/woman/person/thing out there! lol
