Intro

I suck at introductions, so i'll skip to the point. 28 years old from Athens, Greece who takes his first steps into the more complicated world of *nix systems, after using Ubuntu for several years (mostly graphical use).
Decided to check the "father" of Ubuntu, Debian but with a minimalistic twist. The only viable distro is (in my opinion) Crunchbang, so i decided to give it a try. My only problem is that i own a Dell Ultrabook which has Uefi secure boot, so i have a small problem installing Crunchbang straightforward. I want to try using a base of Debian net install and then Crunchifing my system.
From what i have already read, this is one of the most friendly fora on Linux distros, i hope i will fit right in (and hopefully will be able to help others).

Re: Intro

Welcome TasosKan. This forum is indeed very friendly and full of knowledge. I stay clear of UEFI so far so not able to help here I'm afraid.

Welcome to the community and distro, TasosKan.  I don't have experience with UEFI, but from what I've read, you should be able to disable it.  I'm not sure if Windows requires it to be enabled, but if so, then that probably does present a multi-booter with some issues.

I don't intend to dual boot. Linux only for me, it suits all my needs.
