First (small) donation sent, because Phillip has crafted a great distro and community.

With thanks,

Re: Making Donations

@Corenominal: Is it possible for you to include IBAN/BIC details? European account numbers have been mainstreamed now in the country where I live and I can pay you at the push of a button if this is possible. I paid for hosting next door in the Netherlands this way. Very convenient.

Re: Making Donations

I am sorry I am unable to donate using my debit card through paypal. I got twice to the Crunchbang-donate-thankyou page, but the payment isn't going through.

Something I should do to make the payment possible, for international debit cards? anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Making Donations

There is something about #! that makes people want to contribute to keep it alive; I made a donation a little while back, (didn't even know there was a thread about it), first time I've given money to any distro, usually just give my time in forums.

Re: Making Donations

I also just made my first donation to a distro. I've used #! for just over a week and it's the most fun I've ever had with an OS!

Now I just need to decide which shirt design I prefer.  smile

For real cred, and to get the word out even better, get license plates with #! LINUX on them.   big_smile

Don`t underestimate the market-value of my body in a tight #!-shirt lol  I also have the mug, and that`s with me everywhere. I can`t go an hour without my coffe... Hmm, that probably tells you that the market-value of me in a t-shirt is limited to those with a sense of humour lol

Re: Making Donations

Hey guys!
I`d love to donate, but for some personale reasons i`m unable and yet unwilling to use paypal @all.
Anyways, i love the idea of having a crunchbang-hoody or stuff like this, but i couldn`t find out where to purchase it!
PLEASE give me the possibility to buy all this stuff!

Another thing i am a little worried about is this:
I`m a bit of a diy-guy and am crafting myself a laptopcase and messangerbag.
Now the fabric happens to have nearly the perfect crunchbang-gray (just "by chance" for sure  wink )
and i`d love to provide them with the crunchbang logo. Not only because i love the distro, but because it is so cool!
would you mind me doing so?
I promise not selling anything!

The shop is here: http://www.cafepress.com/crunchbanglinux

As for using the logo on the laptopcase and the messengerbag, I can`t see why anyone would mind.

Re: Making Donations

I'd love to see a Bitcoin donation option. I think Bitcoin and open source software go hand in hand! PayPal really sucks!

I fully agree. In fact I posted about this before but not much interest. Fair enough if Corenominal isn't interested but If he'd like some help in how to set this up I'd be happy to offer some advice.

Re: Making Donations

Personally I've never had a problem w/PayPal, but that's just me. Bitcoin is an interesting option for donations imho but its up to the
BDFL and his comfort level.

Re: Making Donations

I just discovered that Cafepress now takes amazon payments!
I shall be swagging up now that I know I don't have to suffer paypal to do so!!!

I wonder if they'll ship to me in Japan... Also, are there good donation margins on all the products? Are they % based in terms of how much goes to Crunchbang vs CafePress?

Self answering: Yes they do ship to Japan, and I found the margins listed on each product page :-D Cool!
