[SOLVED] OpenBox menu font

I'm trying to change the "Menu Item" font in obconf to "Hermit" (http://pcaro.es/p/hermit/), and it works with all font styles except for the "Medium" (regular) one, which is the one that I want to use. I have the same problem with the standard Impact font (everything but the "Regular" font style works), and a few other fonts as well.

I should add that the fonts aren't having any problems anywhere else.

Any solutions?

Re: [SOLVED] OpenBox menu font

Perhaps post the appropriate part of your rc.xml < the one where hermit-regular is defined.

Re: [SOLVED] OpenBox menu font

    <font place="MenuHeader">
      <name>Hermit</name>
      <size>9</size>
      <!-- font size in points -->
      <weight>Bold</weight>
      <!-- 'bold' or 'normal' -->
      <slant>Normal</slant>
      <!-- 'italic' or 'normal' -->
    </font>
    <font place="MenuItem">
      <name>Hermit Medium</name>
      <size>9</size>
      <!-- font size in points -->
      <weight>Normal</weight>
      <!-- 'bold' or 'normal' -->
      <slant>Normal</slant>
      <!-- 'italic' or 'normal' -->
    </font>

Two examples, the Header works and the Item does not. I've tried removing "Medium" from the Item <name>, but that did nothing.

Re: [SOLVED] OpenBox menu font

Perhaps I don't understand the question then,

      <name>Hermit</name>
      <size>9</size>
      <!-- font size in points -->
      <weight>normal</weight>
      <!-- 'bold' or 'normal' -->
      <slant>normal</slant>
      <!-- 'italic' or 'normal' -->

does work here.

p.s. Oh, perhaps replace "Normal" with "normal".

...because I didn't actually restart OpenBox.

Yep, it works fine like that. I checked Impact too, and the problem there was the name as well, "Impact Condensed" instead of "Impact". That's what you get for using GUI's, I guess.

Thanks for the help.

Re: [SOLVED] OpenBox menu font

There is something wrong with obconf or its view toward font names, which is not compatible with openbox as it seems.
p.s. Perhaps you could add [solved] to topic name.
