Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

@ Elder.

Hey Elder. I'm trying to use the Token icons, but keeping the Crunchbang-dark for the system tray, as I saw you did in former screenshots. Not working very good for now. Keep on trying.

Any tips on accomplishing this? Thanks!

...lurking on Elder's reply to you, Snap. Couldn't figure out how to get Token to be recognized by lxappearance at all...really like the Token icon set but using ACYL in the meantime.

I'm still kind of a dunce in the icon area...like getting all the apps to pick up the icon set selected by lxappearance seems like a blackhole wrapped in an enigma (to me at least).

ACYL is nice, but for certain reason I still didn't figured out it screws up my dual head settings. The second screen goes blank.

Using Clarity which is even simpler, a combination of AwOken and Token. here Recent update Aug-13. Maybe that won't mess with your 2nd monitor?

Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

@Snap - I didn't actually "install" the Token icons.  I have them in a file which I then point to with the path in the .wbar file like this:

i: /home/evl/wbar/Token_by_brsev/Token Dark/Token-PNG/Multimedia+Graphics/Television-Alt.png
c: terminator
t: Terminator

@Pdc - Thanks for the Clarity reminder, downloading now.  Very nice icon set.  I'm also using AwOkenBrontoBlackApps which I did set in Lxappearance.

@Dobbie03 - Thanks for the Conky.  I think it/or me, is missing something.  I keep getting this error:

Conky: llua_getstring: function conky_draw_bg didn't return a string, result discarded
Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_main_bars execution failed: attempt to call a nil value

@Darksoul - That is one of the nicest looking setups I've seen!  I guess you were naughty last year.  Don't feel too bad though, Santa didn't park one in my driveway either.  : (

Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

Cool, Thanks!!!!!

Going to try it right now. I see it's for the Wbar only, which is fine. I'll try to go a bit further just to have them showing in Tint2 as well if possible. I'll be fine with that.

Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

Still really impressed with Crunchbang on the netbook, great work from the developers.  After having a few in depth Conky variations I've finally gone for a rather simple look as no issues with memory usage and all shortcuts are truly now in bedded in the brain.

@Snap - I'll be looking forward to some screenshots...

It's my day off so I've been messing around with some stuff:

Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

Gimme a while. I'm a total noob with WMs, Conkys, Tints, Icons, etc... I'm going very slow with the configurations and finding where all things and stuff live within the OS. Three weeks ago I was still a fully GUI and DE guy tongue  ...But making some progress and having loads of fun.

It's my day off so I've been messing around with some stuff:

Too dark for me, but beautiful as always. Love the minimal Tint2. An old school top right conky, huh?  tongue

Yeah, it is a little dark.  The Conky was, I believe, originally from Packrat.  I just added the 4 cores.  I understand about learning where things are.  There is a bit of a learning curve.  : )

I didn't see your pics because imagebam starts with such an unpleasant page sad

Re: January 2014 Screenshot Thread

@RCDK, you're going to have to host those screenshots somewhere else (like postimage.org), we can't have the kiddies exposed to those adverts. Sorry dood.

No probs guys, sorry 'bout that. Imagebam is my default in most cases to I failed to figure out there's something wrong due to active NoScript + AdBlock Plus.
