Moar Wallpapers

Hey guys!
About time I contributed something to the community and since I'm not yet that knowledgeabe in regards of the technical stuff I thought I'd start with some humble wallpapers! Feedback is very welcome - if the overall response is positive I'd be happy to continue making more! Let me know what you think! smile

All images come in a resolution of 1920x1080.

Break, break, break,
On thy cold gray stones, o sea!
And I would that my tongue could utter
The thoughts that arise in me.

Nice and minimal smile

(I may grab them for my "distro" wink )

Have you thought of putting them up on the #! linux group on deviantart?

Thank you, damo!
As a matter of fact I did, but as a newcomer to the distro and the forum I didn't want to seem cocky by doing so. I'm quite shy, you see tongue
Would I require an account over at DeviantArt or is there a way to submit them without one?

Re: Moar Wallpapers

Those walls are a fine addition to the community artwork imo, so I'd be happy to see them more widely available.

You would need to open a (free!) account on dA, then submit your stuff to Crunchbang Linux, or anywhere else if you like. When/if it is accepted it will appear on that group. Don't be shy! smile

A suggestion... only from my own taste and ignorance.  tongue

Can you fade the Debian logo a bit more? I like the more transparent (or less in the way) text in the #! version. It would be nice if you match both sets.

Thanks for the input, Snap, you have a point there! Are these more to your liking?

Re: Moar Wallpapers

Well, I like the gray and ochre versions better. But I prefer the #! batch because the text is only hinted.

PS, Oppps! I posted before the links were uploaded!

Yes!!! Definitely I like them better. Thanks a bunch.

Re: Moar Wallpapers

BTW, this a great set of walls for a dualhead setup like mine. Debian on the left monitor and #! on the right one.  cool

PS, gonna mod my main conky and tint2 icons colors to match the ochre walls. A kinda theme.

Re: Moar Wallpapers

Good stuff mate. About the "not so subtle" ones.. with the fine patterns and display of color I find it far more interesting than "plain" CB wallpapers.

I appreciate it! Personally, I often find wallpapers too bland or too overloaded... Same goes with many distros, but it's a delicate matter and thankfully there's so much to chose from, especially within the #! community!

Very cool pattern! Did you sketch that by hand first or is it all digital?

Re: Moar Wallpapers

My wallpaper came about when I started messing around with my Conky. At first, they were both equally bland, then my Conky upstaged the rest of my desktop, so I spent a few days putting together this wallpaper that complements my Conky perfectly

I think it looks better with my Conky in it, though

Re: Moar Wallpapers

Hi all!

I just made a Crunchbang version of the Commodore 64 logo using MS Paint (I'm at work=P )

Have a gander!

Cheers!

EDIT: I see now that the image uploaded compresses the image. I'll try uploading a better version later.
