Here's what I've got right now, running LXLE 14.04, which uses the LXDE desktop (and, by extension, Openbox):

(Note:  It may take a minute or two for the screenshots to appear unblurred -- just be patient! smile )

Re: July 2014 screenshot thread

@Head_on_a_Stick, i tryed a patch or two, but they all break, so I guess this must be patched to exact version (which makes sense). Actually it seems like the patch utility is not aware of any md5 values or similar. At the moment I'am proud to even get this working... (It does raise a lot of questions on how exactly the OS is working in the background & I still don't really understand the xinitrc or login managers).
Current question would be: How to clean install ceni on wheezy?

I think the smxi scripts have an install for ceni.

I have also done it by adding the aptosid repos just to install ceni, then comment it out. It has a couple of python (perl?) dependencies as I recall. That was a while ago though so may not work now.

Re: July 2014 screenshot thread

^ True enough, smxi installed ceni in Waldorf for me, had to revert to an older version but it was painless.

ceni: Version: 2.38

No idea why ceni isn't in the Debian Repos.  sad

Re: July 2014 screenshot thread

^ I see that linux BBQ has ceni

might be able to enable one of their repos and get a current version.

I have it in my "Summer" install ... I'm happy with the version smxi popped into Waldorf - it's working just fine.

Re: July 2014 screenshot thread

re: ceni on wheezy/waldorf, you can also download the deb from siduction, install it, then fix the dependency issues with sudo apt-get -f install ...

http://ftp.spline.de/mirrors/siduction/ … in/c/ceni/

Also, from last month, there were some objections to the ad content on postimg.org. They provide a direct link that you can add to the bottom of your post that forum members can use to bypass that page entirely, like so...

@lrcaballero:  I'm going to guess that that's either ncmpcpp or some similar curses-based mpd front-end.  Nice to hear from you again, horseman!

Yes, the Baconator does fine work.  Lovely scrot! cool
