        <summary>The first alpha builds of CrunchBang Linux 10 “Statler” are available now. For the first time, CrunchBang is being built with Debian sources, as opposed to Ubuntu.

The LiveCD build process has changed. Previous versions of CrunchBang were built using the remastersys project, this has now been dropped in favour of using the Debian Live Project.         <summary>The second alpha builds of CrunchBang Linux 10 “Statler” are available now. The CrunchBang 10 alpha 2 builds were completed on the 24th June 2010 and contain all package updates available at the time from the Debian Squeeze repositories.

Much has changed since the initial alpha builds, in fact, too much has changed to be able to reasonably detail in full. So instead, here, in no particular order, is a short list of the main changes:</summary>

This is the first revision of the forth release of the distribution. As the version number suggests, it is based on Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope. As with all previous releases, 9.04.01 has been built from scratch using the Ubuntu MinimalCD. The builds were completed on the 6th July 2009 and contain all security and package updates available at the time from the Ubuntu repositories.</summary>
