Ethics policy

CrunchBangLinux’s editorial decisions are made on the merits, independent of commercial relationships.

• Independence. Coverage and rankings are never influenced by advertisers, affiliate partners, or sponsors.
• Disclosure. Affiliate links and any sponsored placement are clearly labelled and separated from editorial. See the affiliate disclosure.
• No pay-to-play. We refuse paid guest posts, link-marketplace listings, commission-ordered rankings, and sponsored content presented as editorial.
• Conflicts. Writers disclose any material relationship with a subject; where a conflict can’t be managed, someone else writes the piece.
• Respect for the community. Including honouring the wishes of the CrunchBang project’s creator — see heritage.
